I had taken organ lessons with Lon Hanagan who had a studio on West 72 Street and also taken lessons with a working lounge organist who taught at the Gimbels Department store on 32nd Street and 6th Avenue. (His name escapes me at the moment but I do remember that he was of Greek extraction.)

Gimbels at that time sold Wurlitzer pianos and organs exclusively. As a matter of fact, any department store worthy of the name had a large "Piano and organ department"

Anyone take lessons with either of these gentlemen in the 60's or 70's?
