Additional Info: Born in Croydon in 1949, I first started playing the organ at John Ruskin Grammar School in the 6th form. Soon after getting married in 1974 we moved to Salisbury where I became organist at Brown St Baptist church and later at Sarum St Francis. Had sporadic lessons with Richard Seal who was always very supportive.

In 1987 we moved to Tunbridge Wells where I was co-organist at King Charles the Martyr for 4 years, then at St James's TW for 8 years and then played regularly at St Luke's Sevenoaks. Currently freelance playing at St Martin's Brasted (a fabulous 1992 JW Walker organ) and at Holy Trinity Crockham Hill (where there is a 2001 Copeman Hart organ).

Some years ago I had regular lessons with Neil Cockburn until he emigrated to Calgary in Canada (not my fault though!)

I have been the accompanist to Paddock Wood Choral Society for some 15 years and have been the organist for a chamber choir called the Chancel Singers (based in TW) since its inception back in the 1990s.

I was accompanist to the Omega Consort (based in Welwyn Garden City) for several years and now sing with them. I enjoy singing occasionally with good local choirs - Terpsichore and the King Charles Singers - even though I am usually the eldest member!

I have taught the organ since my Salisbury days and keep in touch with most of my past students who are now in their 30s & 40s. One went on to be an organ scholar at Cambridge. They all continue to play the organ for church services.

I'm now semi-retired and enjoying freelance work - it is flexible enough to allow us time with our children and grandchildren without being tied to the organ bench 52 weeks a year!
